• I led development teams of Industrial Electronics Protection products including overload motor protection, voltage monitors, transfer switches, timers, etc. Microcontroller driven products with sensory inputs and solid state or electromechanical outputs. Projects were based on Microchip PIC16, PIC32, TI MSP430 and NXP Kinetis ARM Cortex-M0 to M7 series of MCU’s. • I led the project for a new platform development for the MP8000 Series - Bluetooth Overload Relay. This project met goals for new production contribution dollars. • I led a project to procure a major HVAC customer a custom, cost effective UL recognized voltage monitor for industrial roof top units. I helped secure the business with the Sales and Product Management team, led the NPI project and witnessed and assisted with launch at the customer site. • I led an NPI project for a custom solution for a data center customer’s need for a fast hybrid Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). I delivered a product meeting the customer’s quality requirements on budget to secure the business for the company.• I led multiple other successful projects for our business similar to the projects listed above, meeting product requirements, schedule, budget and quality.• I collaborated directly with Product Management, Sales and Marketing to directly influence the Product Roadmap, Technology Roadmap and increased the annualized Operating Income value of approved new product development programs.• I worked with Engineers to develop and continuously improve the product development process. I also worked with firmware engineers to integrate and tweak Agile into our processes.• I served on the global PMO Council to represent my business unit. I gave feedback on best practices for Project Management across business units. Worked with the factory to implement continuous improvement projects related to NPD.

I worked on research projects for switched reluctance motors and drives to optimize motor efficiency. My specific role was magnetic circuit design. I was able to iteratively improve the performance of the machines from an efficiency standpoint. I used Ansys Maxwell to perform electromagnetic finite element analysis (FEA) to model and simulate the magnet circuits before physical build and test.I contributed to design review portions of the power electronic inverters up to 5kW by simulating the circuits using Ansys Simplorer. I wrote and maintained lab test software to operate the dynamometer using LabVIEW.

I set up and maintained production testers and worked with design engineers at the customer in design for test and manufacturing at the PCB and system levels. My input positively impacted the designs resulting in higher efficiencies in the factory. As a contract manufacturer, I served as main contact to customers regarding in-circuit test (ICT), board level functional tests, system level testing, HIPOT, Ground Bond, ESS, HASS and Burn.I set up and maintained config-to-order (CTO) systems. I directly set up and supported testers for product families for customers in a variety of markets including Switching Power Supplies, DC Power Supplies, Telecom, Director Class Fiber Channel Switches, Servers and Storage.Software platforms that I used to support the various production test systems included TestStand, LabVIEW, C, C++, Visual Basic and MySQL based test systems.

I developed circuit blocks assigned to me that were part of HVAC controllers for automotive applications. I developed schematics with supporting math to support part selection to cover product requirements. I worked with PCB Layout technicians to ensure layouts met performance, quality, design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) requirements.
