I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Leeds, moving from first to second year, studying a joint honours BA degree in Economics & Politics, on track for a first class (1:1) result. I am actively engaged with opportunities at the Leeds University Business School, and am also an active member of various societies. I am currently keenly researching placement years for a year's time. Previous A-Levels were studied at Princethorpe College, where I received grades of AAA in Economics, Politics and Psychology. I also wrote an EPQ dissertation detailing questions over failures in government housing policy, which received an A* grade. Outside of studies, I was also an engaged member of the broader school community. I received the Rotary Club Award for Service to the school, alongside a 'Green Honour', as a result of my energetic leadership of the schools environmental team, which resulted in me overseeing many instrumental changes to the schools approach to this crisis. Outside of studies I have completed a wide range of work experience.I have worked for over four years in hospitality as both a barista and catering assistant at the Aviary Cafe and Rustic Food Company respectively. These roles have provided me with vital time management, organisational and customer service experience and skills. Furthermore, I have completed a month long business internship with the executive team at Gothenburg (Sweden) based business, Ericsson Automobiles. The role saw me shadow executive team members, attend and take notes at meetings, and develop an understanding of business strategy. The Internship also involved my completion of a detailed research project, consisting of market research and gathering of pricing information, in order to support company pricing and portfolio valuation. My energetic, thorough and independent approach to the role lead to me receiving personal commendations from Head of Strategy Dr Richard Copland, and my invitation to complete similar subsequent tasks as part of a paid role at the company.
