Working as part of the Project Delivery team at Frequency providing quality project management services to clients such as the Ministry of Education, KiwiRail and Foodstuffs. My roles on projects include design management, consultant and contractor procurement, contract management/administration, and construction monitoring. This whilst always maintaining responsibility for project budget and programme. The high level of client satisfaction evident on the projects I am involved in speaks to the collaborative relationships I enjoy building.

In my capacity as a civil engineer, I was heavily involved with the North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) as well as other independent transport projects for NZTA and KiwiRail. Other notable civil engineering design projects that I contributed to include several Fonterra major capital projects, Wellington International Airport Development, and Wakefield Hospital Redevelopment. As part of collaborative teams, I was predominantly responsible for the civil engineering design of services/utilities, earthworks, roading/pavement and stormwater management/protection.I also worked on a multi-disciplinary land development project . I developed a winning proposal, created exit and flexibility strategies and was responsible for managing the budget, programme, contractual arrangements, conducting feasibility and risk assessments as well as people management. This was my first experience with project management within the construction industry and underpinned my decision to pursue a career change and become a Project Manager.I had various construction observation roles. Site experience allowed me to develop practical knowledge and my relationship management skills. The construction phases of projects I was involved with ran smoothly, I developed strong relationships with contractors and maintained a high level of client satisfaction at all times.

SWP Commercial is a New Zealand company that specialise in commercial roofing and coating. During two summers (University break) I completed engineering practical work experience working as a labourer on a range of sites around Wellington. Of particular note was my involvement on the Te Papa roof overlay project on which I spent the majority of my time.
