The Wildfire Operations Officer leads a team of dedicated Wildland Fire Fighting Professionals both permanent and seasonal staff, to detect, respond too and action Wildfires within Alberta. During times of heavy fire loads, staff may be sent to other jurisdictions to assist with their efforts in wildfire suppression. Multiple programs fall under the Operations Section such as; Fire Lookouts, Initial Attack Crews, Sustained Action Crews, Logistics, Dispatchers, Aircraft, Heavy Equipment, Fire Detection, Fire Suppression, Warehousing, etc..

Seasonal Conservation Officer, worked variable shifts and hours, patrolling Alberta Provincial Parks in the Hinton and Grande Cache Areas. Duties included, educational speaking with groups and park users, problem wildlife control, enforcement actions as required, boat patrols, truck (4x4) patrols and back country patrols.
