As an educational administrator, responsible for providing leadership in the planning, organizing, administering, developing and evaluation of Career Technical Education (CTE) instructional programs, projects and activities of a large (450 FTES) Public Safety Program Instructional Division including associate degree and certificate programs for Administration of Justice, Fire Technology, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Contract Education, Police & Fire Academies, and in-Service Training Contracts. Provided advocacy for faculty and staff in the offering quality instructional programs and support services for students. Served as Police Academy and P.O.S.T. In-Service Training Coordinator 1996-1999.Accomplishments:Instruction/Student Services leadership for 5 administrators, 35 classified staff and 200+ contract and adjunct faculty.Served on the management team for the Colleges successful $1B Bond Measure (Proposition M). Successfully proposed, designed, and managed the regional Public Safety Training Center/Police Facility. The state-of-the-art training facility and burn tower provides on-going regional police and fire training opportunities and generated over $20+M in increased full time equivalency of students under his leadership.
