Develops briefings supporting the command’s positions on sensor capability preservation, management, and sustainment issues. Assesses operational mission impacts and presents findings to developers for awareness and mitigation discussions on behalf of the command.- Conducts radar obstruction evaluations as directly tasked from Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Siting Clearinghouse Office, as part of the Renewable Energy Developer Outreach/Early Project Consultation. - Implement Early Consultations to support the early planning stages of future wind energy project development to identify potential DoD radar interference issues with private wind developers. After Early Consultations take place, provide responses to the OSD Siting Clearinghouse Office with any NORAD mission concerns related to the proposed wind energy project. In cases where mission impacts are predicted, provides unclassified findings to the private developer and to the OSD Siting Clearinghouse Office in an effort to encourage the developer to modify the project in ways that are beneficial to DoD and NORAD.
