Sillion is a consultancy with two areas of focus: Corporate ESG advice with capital markets understanding; and communications strategy for companies involved in the renewables, energy, or sustainability sectors.We are business and value minded, but we like to work with good companies, or companies that are trying to be good – we help them change, and gain recognition for that change. Within communications strategy we have 15 years' experience in our sector, working at board level with a wide range of companies from high-growth start-ups to the FTSE100. We have clients across Europe and Asia, and have led communications strategy on a spectrum of issues from investment case advice and IPOs, to calendar reporting and crisis communications. For our ESG clients we have developed a unique offering that approaches ESG from a management perspective. Like other ESG consultancies we can guide our clients through the rubric of regulation and best practice… But in addition, we overlay a strategic understanding of the investment case, and the importance of a social licence to operate – ensuring that our clients businesses are sustainable and de-risked for the medium and long term.

Initially alongside my start-up efforts, and eventually as my exclusive focus, I have worked as an external consultant or in-house Head of Communications, advising on a wide range of communications issues for private and public companies, governmental bodies, and major public-facing organisations.My portfolio of clients included organisations across the UK, Europe, and Asia, and ranged from medium-sized SMEs to FTSE constituents and beyond. The work had a general but not exclusive focus on the Energy, Renewables, Infrastructure, and Transport sectors. I gained considerable experience in a range of communications disciplines, leading the communications process for: LSE Main Market and AIM IPOs, M&A, calendar reporting, profile raising, corporate branding, digital strategy, crisis communications, and responsibility.
