As Chairman of the Next Generation Group I, with the support of my committee and head office, arrange events and meetings for the Next Generation of our beautiful historic houses. It is important to help the next generation come to terms with and understand the runnings of the historic houses they will be taking on in the future.We are a social group that meets to swap ideas, problems and hopefully solutions and to simply discuss the properties that we will be passed by the generation before us.Although many members have other jobs it is imperative to understand what we can do from a business level to keep these houses going as they a potential drain on resources. As the next generation we can propose new and progressive ideas across the board from renewable energy to festivals and car boot sales to wedding venues and everything in between.My committee will be publishing a program of events and social get togethers so for all members of the Next Generation Group we will be in touch soon.

Current role:Specialised search for Commercial Farming Operations- Visiting farms on open market to access suitability- Relationships with all national agencies to discover privately available farms- Discussions with landowners, professional advisors and institutions to generate sales outside of the market on a confidential basisOperations- Direct search- Assessment of validity- Budgeting for potential cashflows, gross margins, improvements- Professional and competent view on whether to proceed or not- Direct negotiations to achieve the purchase at best value and when in competition- Provision of best team for forward management, strategic review and enhancement of asset value through a multiple of Knight Frank departments

Qualified as a Rural Chartered Surveyor and managed farms in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
