Helped build additions to homes or offices. This included painting, flooring (mostly tile), roofing (mostly tin), framing, concrete work, and operating heavy machinery and power tools.

Pool maintenance on the three different pools at the Hays Aquatic Park, as well as caring for a municipal facility which had two smaller pools. Maintenance included daily chemical testing and balancing, pool cleaning with brushes and vaccuums, cleaning filters and,hair baskets, area cleaning, mowing, and any basic repairs that might arise. Assisted students with disabilities throughout the school year by providing extra notes from other students willing to drop off copies, a quiet place and extra time to take tests, assisted with reading tests and writing students' answers if needed, and helping all students, both current and future, with any questions or problems.

Supervised customers of the facility as well as 3 or 4 employees.Ensured the facility and pools were clean and up to standards. This included checking chemicals such as pH and chlorine, and adding proper chemicals to balance the pools to proper standards.Also taught swimming lessons for kids between the ages of 4 and 14.
