I have been a professional rugby player since 2015, in this time I have played for the NSW Waratahs, the Western Force, and I have had the privilege to represent Australia on 31 occasions. After suffering an ACL tear in 2023, I came to the University of Oxford to study a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government. My previous degrees include a Bachelor of Medical Science, a Master of Public Health, a Master of Philosophy (Medicine), and a deferred Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Sydney. My career has been defined by a commitment to teamwork, tactical strategy, and knowing how to get the most out of my ability, on and off the field. I am returning to the Western Force and Rugby Australia in mid-June 2024, and I am looking forward to utilising the skills I have learnt at Oxford, to improve myself and the teams I’m involved with in the pursuit of excellence on and off the field. Over the long term, my goal is to finish the MD, and study the Australian health care system, international medical organisations, and health governance more broadly.
