I came onboard with Accruent when they acquired the Maintenance Connection organization from the private equity firm. Within a few short months, Accruent was subsequently acquired by Fortive and has since been run as one of Fortive's many operating companies. As part of joining Accruent, my role as a Director of Engineering expanded to include additional products under the Big Center product line as well as the existing Maintenance Connection product line. Some of the accomplishments of this time has been migration of datacenters, implementation of a full DevOps CI/CD pipeline, and an increase of our SaaS release cadence from the quarterly cycle, to releasing every four weeks. I've also been a member of the Product Line Business Team for Maintenance Connection, which allowed me to work closely with the Product, Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, and Support leadership in helping steer the Maintenance Connection product direction. I've also had the privilege of been a member of the the President's Kaizen where our focus was to look at ways to unify our many products that have similar capabilities, when taking advantage of unique features that give Accruent a competitive edge.

The continued growth of the company along with the subsequent acquisition by a private equity firm, has allowed me the opportunity to spearhead our engineering teams. The core development team focused on expanding the capabilities of multiple products and major version releases, while the custom development team focused on providing integrations to 3rd party systems as well as identifying common customer requests that could potentially be rolled into the core product. During this time, we transitioned from a waterfall development methodology to the agile methodology, increasing the cadence of our releases from a two year cycle to a quarterly cycle.

With the growing size of the company, my focus as the Director of Project Development shifted to increasing the capabilities and output of the Project Development team. This included a heavy focus on streamlining the customization and integration processes from the development of requirements to the delivery and customer sign-off. It was during this time that I was also tasked with planning and building a 3rd generation web based mobile application geared towards technicians in support of our main application.

In the first years of this startup I grew teams that were responsible for the support of our customers, software deployment and installations, building customizations for specific customer requests, integrations to a variety of 3rd party systems, all while helping advance the core features and functions of the application. I was also tasked with designing and building import tools for customer data migration as well as an extremely robust rules and events processing engine.
