I am a purpose-driven executive with over 30 years of experience leading organizations through transformational change and sustainable growth. I am dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening communities. My career has centered on the belief that immersive experiences, like camp, are instrumental in helping youth develop resilience, character traits, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the program itself. As President/CEO of the American Camp Association, I led the transformation of an over 110-year-old organization into a national unified voice for camp experiences, benefitting more than 26 million youth annually. I spearheaded initiatives that increased net assets from $4 million to $58 million, developed industry-standard protocols that were adopted globally, and positioned ACA as a leading thought leader in the youth development sector. As Executive Director of Camp Judaea, I became a national leader in Jewish overnight summer camping, achieving enrollment growth of nearly 50% and securing over $6 million in capital donations and grants. At Blue Star Camps, I guided a family-owned business to new heights, increasing revenue by over $2 million and overseeing $10 million in facility renovations to enhance operational efficiency and camper experiences. Throughout my career, I have embraced innovation and collaboration to address challenges and achieve results. Whether leading strategic planning, driving fundraising success, or implementing technology solutions, my leadership is focused on delivering sustainable impact and empowering future generations. Beyond the camp world, I have applied my leadership skills to board and volunteer roles, including serving as a founding board member of the North Carolina Youth Camp Association and as national treasurer and board member for the American Camp Association. My volunteer efforts extend to organizations like Junior Achievement, United Way, Scouting America, and the Jewish Federation, all of which share my commitment to community building and youth development. These experiences have reinforced my conviction that every young person deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and build confidence in environments that inspire and challenge them.
