Employed in the Joint Training & Exercise Planning Staff. (JTEPS) as the AAW planner. Operating as one of a small planning team cohereing complex multi faceted training objectives at the 2+ level. Responsible for planning AAW elements of numerous live & virtual multinational exercises for units / formations & high level HQ staffs

Provide timely information to UKMCC on RSNF dispositions intentions and FP/VEO threats in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Regular liaison with 1* & 2* within MoD/RSNF HQ (N2, N3, N5). Be prepared to support National and/or HN crisis and contingency planning as directed. Provide operational support to assist KSA/SLC Ops, offering specialist Maritime information and advice to JFC, RSNF HQ and Regional Commands. Understand KSA perspectives and intentions on regional matters, particularly Iran and Yemen, informing UKMCC and PJHQ. Understand other nations’ involvement in the Red Sea region (US, but also other regional powers e.g. Egypt). Identify and exploit opportunities for RN PVSTS, Maritime exercises, capacity building and DE opportunities with KSA. Maintain LO networks to support wider situational awareness. Assist the UK Embassy Defence Section with wider regional engagement or other UK defence related activity, as capacity allows and directed by UKMCC.

Responsible for in service capability delivery of AAW systems including Sea Viper, Sea Ceptor and a range of Softkill options. Serving as AAW advisor within NCHQ Ships division.

Head of Warfare ratings career management. Leading at team of 30 Warfare career managers across 7 disparate sites. Managing a multitude of complex plots comprising experienced individuals across a broad spectrum of specialist skill sets. Managing personnel to meet the ‘needs of the service’ and wherever possible aspirations of the individual. Warfare Ratings Career Management covers the entire gambit of Royal Naval Warfare junior rates in 21 nuanced branches(circa 5,200 individuals).Additional work streams include acting as the lead SO2 for all RCM on the Clyde and , lead for all manning issues relating to RN small ships.

Trained RN and other countries Air Warfare Officers, in tactics and procedures. Acted as the subject matter expert on all aspects of Air Warfare and the Sea Viper weapon system. Successfully implemented changes in training, and devised an acclaimed Joint Training package to include key partner nations.

In charge of all aspects of Air Defence and Air Defence planning, including liaison with non organic agencies and authorities. Responsible for the set up and use of the ships Sea Viper missile system. Secondary role as Press Relations Officer during a very high profile deployment encompassing 26 countries on 4 continents

Head of the above water warfare sub-Department, responsible for warfare training and weapons usage including ammunition expenditure and unit force protection. As Operations Officer I was head of the entire Warfare Department, 50% of the ships crew. Responsible for ships short term plan out to 6 months organising daily routines and liaison with external assets to co- ordinate activity. Finally I acted as senior naval officer to de-commission ion the ship and hand it over to the disposal authorities

The RNs premier Warfare course -preparing and, if successful, qualifying students to act as Warfare Officer in the entire range of the UKs frontline Warships.

Undertook PWO(T) role in HMS ILLUSTRIOUS prior to PWO Cse acting’s as 1 in 3 watchkeeper throughout Orion 08 deployment.
