Working in the Body department I produced a CAD scheme for an improved security doorhandle to meet consumer expectations.Working in the Trim department I was mainly involved with seating, where I contributed to the development of a prototype interior 'buck', and separately designed and built my own vision of an innovative seating solution.Working in Design Feasibility I participated in the design process of a new vehicle, including sketch reviews and critical sections. I produced work contributing to the creation of a more efficient design feasibility process which could be carried out rapidly by a small team.Additionally, I was fortunate to work with the 6 other interns to restore and revitalise an MGB using modern MG components - a 2.0T engine, EPS and ABS. My specific role was to improve the braking performance of the vehicle, which involved benchmarking, feasibility studies, organisation and procurement, fabrication and installation. The completed vehicle has been touring motorsport events and gaining attention from enthusiasts as an exciting one-off demonstrator. Show less
