I moved into a new role at the University of Southampton in March 2024 within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences as Senior Enterprise Fellow at the new Future Towns Innovation Hub. I am working to help build collaborative interdisciplinary networks across the University and externally with industry, business and other stakeholders to bring forward innovation around happy, healthy, prosperous and sustainable places.Previously I have 10 years experience in mixed methods research across engineering and social science disciplines, primarily in energy systems and domestic energy demand. Recent projects included a domestic heat flexibility trial and analysis of patterns of domestic energy use via the Smart Energy Research Lab.I have worked on a number of primary fieldwork projects investigating energy efficiency and behaviour change in the residential energy domain, including a large-scale randomised control trial. I am an ONS Accredited Researcher and have experience working with large and complex datasets for data analysis and modelling.
