CurrentI run a company called the Thinking Drinkers and its primary objective is to educate and entertain people on all things drink. As well as a drinks writer and author, I'm a comedy performer, host tastings and help develop brands, and I'm a Keeper of the Quaich and have won the prestigious IWSC Spirits Communicator of the Year.In 2009, Ben McFarland and I created the Thinking Drinkers and have become regulars experts on ITV's This Morning, with drinks columns in the Telegraph, National Geographic and the Spectator. We specialise in live events and experiences and have been performing our critically acclaimed theatrical show The Thinking Drinker's Guides for more than a decade at the Edinburgh Fringe, in London's West End and on UK tours, franchising the show in Spain and Germany. This unique approach to drinks education has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of consumers, using our mantra 'drink less, drink better'.We’ve tailored tastings for the corporate environment and educated bar professionals for the WSET, and our approach was recognized by the industry with an Imbibe Educators of the Year Award.Further communication about drink comes on thinkingdrinkers.com, and direct through our e-newsletter and podcast to nearly 10,000 subscribers. In 2021 we launched our online tasting club, with drinks sent to homes, and educational tastings hosted live via Zoom. In 2021 we also launched the film production company blindtigerfilms.com, specialising in drinks-related content and have already made films for Bacardi, Carlsberg, and Heineken.
