Utilising a range of skills including time management, R&D, project management, team work and analysis to both develop new inks as well as adjust existing ones to match the customers' needs. Sometimes the work involves working out how to fulfil a customer request for an ink based on their requirements, which sometimes involves making an ink from scratch or sometimes just adjusting an existing formula. Alternatively, I need to match an ink or print sent by a customer and therefore try to analyse the sample as much as possible in order to match the ink as well as possible.This role involves a lot of initiative and thinking outside the box as well as being able to pull from previous projects to try and fulfil the project in an efficient manner. It involves being able to determine which avenue is the best approach and then executing it by either utilising the raw materials already on site or to research and find new samples to order in to test and validate their viability for the current project.The projects can vary in length from a couple of days to six months, which often means a different skillset is required from project to project. A shorter project focuses more on adapting an existing formulation and therefore focuses more on efficiency and knowledge of previous work whereas the longer projects are more challenging and sometimes involve hundreds of formulations to try and find the one that works which requires lots of project management and R&D skills.

The position involved updating their system with data received from the warehouse to ensure that the stock count was correct, and any errors could be assessed, and the correct personnel informed. The position involved contacting both customers and HQ to resolve any issues both via email as well as by phone.
