I am an enthusiastic and passionate structural osteopath. I enjoy a challenge, developing my skills, and caring for people. I work proficiently within both multiple disciplinary teams or autonomously, providing patients with the best care and support possible. Prior to graduating as an osteopath, I worked within the ambulance services in High dependency and critical care patient transfers. I have 7 years of combined experience in the MSK setting starting as a sports therapist and then subsequently an osteopath. Currently, I hold membership with the Institute of Osteopathy and the British Medical Acupuncture Society. I have additional training in paediatrics from both the UCO and OCC and process good cranial skills. Over the last 3 years, I have acted as a placement mentor for Sports Therapy students at Anglia Ruskin University. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and mentoring students, finding it useful for my personal development and clinical skills. Following 7 seasons as a therapist in community rugby, I have delivered the sports trauma module for the Sports Therapy degree at Anglia Ruskin University. I have also taught and assessed first aid andpre-hospital care qualifications for many years after achieving my Level 3 qualifications in Education and assessing vocational achievement.Personal professional development is very important to me. I am proactive at seeking out CPD opportunities and have attended multiple courses and workshops since graduating. Recently I completed the E-IRMER course with Health Education England to widen my knowledge and understandingregarding ionizing radiation and appropriate referrals for Xray/CT. Other courses I have completed include Mental Health First Aid, Introduction to MSK Ultrasound and a certificate in Medical Acupuncture. In private practice, I have maintained a generalist workload. I have treated a range of patients, some with complex MSK conditions, and others following surgical intervention. I enjoy empowering patients by giving them the knowledge and tools to help them achieve their goals. Working in the primary care setting ensures my case history and diagnostic skills are kept current. I am proficient at ruling out red flags and forming differential diagnoses to ensure safe and prompt care for my patients.
