Would like to take this next step in my life to make an impact on young people to help prepare them for what lies ahead... Whether that's through coaching, teaching or public speaking. After working and owning my own business I would like to give back.Would really enjoy becoming involved with College or University in the area of PR, Recruiting, Speaking at High Schools for possible enrollment.I have always related well to all ages and can make a presentation with passion and conviction. I have a tremendous respect for the education process...have worked on numerous fund raising and capital campaigns. Was involved in a number of Bond and Levy campaigns for the NKC School District ...Chaired a new approach called "The Grass Routes Campaign", going directly to the voters and having small neighborhood informational sessions...went to the elderly, who were the largest negative voting block...met with PTA members...enlisted the support of influential business leaders...to eventually pass over 180 million dollars in Bond revenue as well as Levy issues that increased teacher's salaries and provided state of the art computer labs. I was awarded the NEA"Friend of Education" award for that year. Organizational skills and Public Speaking were extensively used during this time...very rewarding enjoying every minute of the process.
