I joined KGA on a year’s placement as a Marketing Coordinator for the Prestige team. My duties included organising digital assets for launches, running social media campaigns, organising artwork for retailers, completing monthly reports for each brand and ensuring online brand pages are consistent to our guidelines. This was a high-paced environment and I was required to work closely with all departments of the business as well as our retailers. We worked closely within the Prestige team and there was a heavy reliance on my support to guarantee deadlines were met and work was to the highest standard possible. I also partook in the Fragrance Foundation training course to better my knowledge whilst on placement.

I was employed within the NHS on a part time basis to work throughout the summer. In order to successfully gain employment from the NHS I had to complete a wide range of statutory and mandatory training including, Health & Safety, Information Governance, Equality and Diversity, Fire, and Safeguarding Children. I was working in the Renal department at the hospital and my role consisted of preparing clinics and working with patient medical records. I worked for the duration of the summer and hope to return to work over the Christmas and Easter periods when I am not at university. I have taken away many skills from this period of work such as the importance of professionalism and confidentiality in the workplace and how to maintain good time management.

My duties included preparing the food for cooking, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area, taking orders from customers and using the cash register. This was a very busy environment and I had to be aware of food hygiene regulations and excellent customer service. The job involved working within a team and working to tight deadlines. I also completed a food hygiene certificate whilst employed at Seine Rigger.

I achieved a merit/2:1 grade alongside a distinction in the CIM qualification. I will commence the second year of my degree as well.
