He has a wide breadth of architecture-adjacent experience.Tom is well known as a multifaceted problem-solver, frequently developing inventive, resourceful solutions to any challenges he might face, all with grace under fire. His work contributes to all areas of the practice.Tom's experience in interior architecture includes all phases of a project from programming, schematic and design development, construction documentation and construction administration. His overall professional experience includes technology management, mechanical/electrical engineering and management, and civil engineering and management.Over the course of Tom's career, a natural pattern has emerged with each place of employment. He starts as a drafter, implementing designs and corrections provided by supervisors. As he is a dedicated learner, he quickly graduates to producing with minimal supervision. During this, he either creates or is heavily involved in drawing/design standards and templates for the collective. His penchant for technology and helping others ultimately leads to a transition to IT, where he is usually the only member with A/E industry experience. He gains IT experience and advancement, typically acting as a liaison to the design teams. Most recently, his well-rounded knowledge leads to a transition to a path in Operations leadership.
