A graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College where I studied Information Technology and its use in the commercial sector. I have worked as a programmer, analyst and technical lead for over 30 years in software companies developing applications for wholesale distribution, retail, point of sale, equipment hire and vehicle sales. My previous position was Technical Director at a Dublin software firm, where, for about 15 years I lead development teams creating mission critical, enterprise software for the pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution sectors in Ireland and the U.K. In 2006 I helped to set up Brook Software Solutions, where I was responsible for all technical aspects of the business. Brook grew steadily for over 10 years and in 2017 we merged with Pims Business Systems (Sage 50 Irish Partner of the Year 2015 and 2016) and the new merged entity is now operating as “Pimbrook Software” where I hold the position of Operations Director.Specialties: Software development (Windows, .NET, SQL Server, Unix, Progress OpenEdge).
