In my role as WAN Tech for ARMC, I was responsible for installing, upgrading, maintaining and moving desktop PCs and printers in 30 satellite office locations, and troubleshooting requisite WAN connections during outages. I supported 500 PC‘s located in doctor offices, Regional First Cares, Regional Lab Outreach and ARMC distribution center, covering Jackson, Barrow, Oconee, Clarke and Greene counties. Desktop support of 500 Windows XP PC's in a medical/clinical Active Directory environment.I was responsible for office relocation, performed moves of all computer equipment and telecom/networking infrastructure to new locations.I worked extensively with PACS (x-ray) deployment and maintenance at Regional 1st Care (urgent care centers) as well as Phillips Xcelera (Ultrasound imaging) client installations throughout the ARMC system, both at the main hospital and remote locations.Handled day to day support calls via telephone and remote interface, troubleshoot user issues and provided prompt resolutions to common and difficult problems.I have 16 years of experience in a Hospital/Doctor office IT environment, 24 years experience in PCs and electronics overall.Other hospital related IT experience includes but is not limited to: Image deployment to new PCs and PC rebuilds using Altiris and formerly Livestate. AS/400 Client Access. TCP/IP, DHCP,DSL, T1, Cable Modem Software installation to new PCs (hospitals have literally hundreds of apps). Troubleshooting and repair of PC’s, carts, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot wireless networks and devices Prioritized trouble tickets to provide timely resolution. Performed preventive maintenance on PCs in my assigned areas. Troubleshooting and configuration of network access for users; adding them to Active Directory groups.
