I am responsible for driving Doctors and other Clinical staff to and from medical and non-medical emergencies for the Northamptonshire Out-Of-Hours Medical Service.

St Botolphs Church is located in my local town and every year provide a 'holiday club' for children aged 5-11. This event runs for a week every summer and provides children from the local community a chance to engage in different activities that are underpinned with biblical readings.I am the current Sports leader for this event and am in charge of providing various sporting activities for 150-200 children. The role entails organizing equipment, liaising with group leaders, designing and delivering activities and providing an inclusive and safe environment that all can participate in. I have been in the role for 5 years now and am well established in the holiday club environment.This opportunity also provides me with opportunities to work alongside other teaching professionals who also volunteer for the holiday club. They are all willing to guide me with different techniques and practices that they have picked up in their long teaching careers. This overall is a truly rewarding experience to be involved in.

I have been an employee of the Arcadia Group for coming up to 6 years. I have worked across 4 brands within the company (Burton, Topman, Topshop and Dorothy Perkins) and am currently a Top Level Supervisor in Topshop, I share a desire with a committed team to really push the shop on, driving sale, service and standards that exceed all other competitors on the local high street. This focus spurs me on to always deliver the best service, always demanding more of a highly diverse team. I also have responsibility of key holding and back of house work. My role demands high levels of communication, and so organisation is essential to success. Furthermore, I feel that a passion and dedication to any task or situation can drive sales which determines a dominant hold in the high street.

Northamptonshire

The National Citizens Service is a Government supported programme. My role as a team leader is to facilitate the development of young people (aged 16-18) in the local community, giving them critical life skills which can be used to improve opportunity of gaining a place at college, university or in employment.Across a 4 week programme, they will develop their team work, communication skills and self-sufficiency skills, all through different situations. These situations involve a residential, living at a university and finally putting an action plan together to develop and improve an area of their local community. Upon completion, students receive a certificate which is nationally recognised by colleges, universities and businesses.

Bedford

I was in charge of a $1.1 million dollar ropes course at the camp. It is the largest man made ropes course in the whole north east of America. I was in charge of a team of instructors, over looking the whole set up of the course, managing the instructors during sessions and managing health and safety on the site. This included equipment maintenance and training of instructors on the camp. I was the leader of the Sports course at the camp which meant delivering a number of different sports to a range of different abilities. This involved a large proportion of children who have had negative experiences of sport in their school environment. My challenge was to re-engage these children back into a sporting environment in which they would prosper.
