• Managing and facilitating the operations of the Translational Neuroscience Facility and the Cellular and Systems Physiology Laboratory

Science and technology research focused around developing our understanding and therapeutics for cancer at the cellular level.• Responsible for Managing a research group (7 people) on a daily basis reporting to the Group Leader• Recipient Rod Rickards Fellowship, Australian Academy of Science, international exchange with CNRS: the French national science organisation - two visits and continuing• Recipient of a three year fellowship ($255 000 + $30 000 research budget, one of twelve available with over 100 applicants)• Supervise team development of computational models and biochemistry experiments• Lead development and oversee group’s IT infrastructure: Windows server, website, wiki, data storage and backups• Coordinated purchase of major equipment (microscope ~ $600 000), including writing system requirements and ensuring system verification and acceptance
