Managed daily, monthly, and annual refinery process unit and total products yields reporting to support refinery operations, planning, economics, and modeling. Implemented several upgrades to complex software (Sigmafine) including the integration of new refinery process units and Suncor-purchased local Valero refinery. Led a project for a major yields system software upgrade.

Implemented newly commissioned gasoline blending advanced controls and developed new work processes for the blending engineer and operations. Developed metrics to minimize gasoline and distillate product quality giveaway. Used the refinery LP (PIMS) to optimize the refinery crude slate. Managed regulatory and advanced controls for process units including an FCC, crude/vacuum unit, hydrotreater, and product recovery. Implemented an on-line optimizer (Profimatics) to push economic constraints on the FCC by optimizing the setpoints for lower-level advanced controls modules. Worked with a contractor to write and implement a software interface for two separate controls vendors to optimize gasoline blending.

Managed regulatory and advanced controls for process units including an FCC, hydrocracker, two gas plants, crude and vacuum units, and alkylation unit. Implemented sophisticated multivariable controls (DMC) on two units as upgrades.
