Interning at MK dons academy allowed me to continue my development as a performance analyst at a level three elite player performance academy. During my internship, I was responsible for the filming of academy games from all age groups at some stage throughout the season. Furthermore I was also invited to film first team games, and was responsible for capturing footage which could be live coded and sent to the manager to view in game, as well as gathering behind the goal footage.Once the game footage had been acquired, I was responsible for coding the game, via the use of sportscode, one day the week after the game had been filmed, so that the players and coaches could view the performance again. This allowed the players to view every single action that they had taken during their game, as well as special attention being given to what was the weeks training focus was, to see if they were implementing what they learnt from training into games.Furthermore I took part in analytical training nights put on by the first team analyst. These training nights taught me the theory behind coding windows and live coding as well as giving me valuable practical experience of setting up and coding a game live.

Videoing games from age groups ranging from under 9's to 18's. Then making match highlights related to the training topic of the week taught by the coaching staff, as well as making highlights of the goals and the game available to the coaches and players. Furthermore I was then responsible for helping to make an individuals' season highlights, this was then used to help evaluate whether the player should get a professional contract. To do this I was taught how to use Sportscodes' analytical software: Gamebreaker.Finally I was asked to put together an end of season review to be shown to the players and coaches at the academies end of season presentation night.
