My role is to assist with the planning, organisation and management of the day to day operations on site, as well as any other responsibilities that the Project Manager sees fit.

My position at this local Health & Safety company involved a variety of roles including:· Assisting clients with the review & update of their health & safety policies and procedures· Carrying out safety training needs analysis including reviewing employees current training· Attending liaison meetings with clients to discuss progress and review health & safety performance (including quarterly trend analysis)· Carrying out health & safety site inspections and providing clients with verbal debriefs and written reports· Investigating reportable accidents and dangerous occurrences and preparing reports which highlight any necessary remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate liabilities· Providing clients with a health & safety information service in response to requests for health & safety advice· Carrying out premises health & safety inspections and/or audits and preparing reports detailing recommendations concerning matters that arise· Carrying out on a periodic basis a detailed visual inspection of clients equipment· Assisting clients with the preparation/review of risk assessments, method statements, construction health & safety plans and other health & safety documentation· Acting on behalf of clients to liaise with other organisations and relevant authorities

Whilst working in London as a Health & Safety Advisor for RHSS Ltd. I was able to gain an insight into the statutory requirements for working in health & safety in the UK. This job included assisting businesses across most industry sectors with the management of health & safety including general fire & risk assessments, health & safety policy/management systems, audits and training. This was my first full time position in a health & safety role, I learnt the communication skills required to liaise with both clients and management. I received regular feedback enabling me to improve my report writing skills and produce written method statements to a high enough standard that they could be published for use in the workplace.

Goodline Ltd. is a multi-million dollar mining company based in Western Australia. Day to day jobs included erecting, altering and dismantling tube & clip/modular scaffolding within an iron ore mine. Whilst in this position I undertook the role of safety representative for the scaffolding workforce, this involved regular attendance at health & safety meetings, highlighting issues raised by the workforce and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations by others in my team. My communication skills and positive attitude meant that colleagues found me to easy approach should they have issues that needed to be raised.
