This role was completed alongside the final year of my Bachelor's degree. It involved:- Meeting with club representatives - Organising and facilitating football trials - Communicating with league officials regarding team entry, player registration, disciplinary issues, and any other details applicable to our teams.- Organising training days and location, pre-season games, and pre-season tournaments.- Being the main point of contact for players and coaches when they had any issues. These ranged from sorting out spare gear, to contacting clubs around training ground logistics.- Being in charge of fee collection. This involved setting dates, establishing payment plans for those who needed assistance, and constant communication around reminders and amounts.- Attending games during the season.- Maintaining interorganizational relationships with our partner clubs, as well as the ASFA and NRF.- The development of a strategic plan geared towards furthering the development of football within AUT.During this role I also had to deal with the added complication of Covid-19. Because of this I had the extra responsibilities of helping facilitate a safe return to training for our teams, and ensuring our teams were set up with the means to effectively contact trace during trainings and games throughout the season.
