Responsible for finance, IT and merchandise planning/purchasing/distribution for this growing apparel wholesaler. Systems implementations included Infor M3 for Fashion (ERP), retail point of sale (Microsoft RMS), a custom Magento ecommerce solution for both B to C and B to B sales channels, a SharePoint based executive information system, QlikView business intelligence software and the ANT Enterprise open to buy system. Helped manage the due diligence process leading to a successful sale of Alternative Apparel to Hanesbrands, Inc. in October, 2017.

One of the founding owners of this multi-location retail music chain doing business in 23 states. Developed the financial model (LOTUS 123 at that time!) that was used to raise the initial equity and ultimately became the forecasting backbone for the company. Handled all finance and IT functions including the design/deployment of an executive information system spread across all 71 retail store locations. Managed the financing and operational integration of multiple acquisitions and a merger with our main competitor. Formed Robert Thomas & Associates after selling the business in 2010.

Handled the financial consolidation of Turtles Records and Tapes with The Record Bar. Converted both Companies from their existing general ledger systems to Lawson Financials. Managed the accounting. cash flow management and sales audit functions for this 290 store music chain. Assisted in the ultimate sale of Super Club Music to Blockbuster Music in late 1993. Left to form Value Music Concepts in January1994.

Left Touche Ross to join The Banker's Note after working on their annual audit seeing an opportunity to further grow my professional interest in retail/wholesale distribution and manufacturing. Managed accounting, human resources, sales audit and information systems for this 72 store chain apparel retailer spread across the Southeast. Managed the acquisition and operational integration of Heirlooms (a high end sweater manufacturer). Managed the financial relationship with our main overseas supplier of private label goods including visiting their operation in Hong Kong. Was recruited to become the Controller of Turtles Records and Tapes (I love music so this was an easy decision to make).
