Retired as of August 1, 20112006 – July 29, 2011 The University of ToledoAs the lead administrator/manager for this facility within the Division of Student Affairs, I wasresponsible for providing the vision and leadership that promoted a student-centered environment,the implementation of strategic plans, policies and procedures related to the utilization of the StudentUnion and Scott Park Student Center, and coordination of event services. My administrativeresponsibilities included budget development and management, financial reporting, contractadministration, marketing, leasing, retail operations, building maintenance, short and long termrenovation projects, building security, and student staff development. It was necessary for me tocollaborate with Admissions, Alumni Relations, Student Involvement, the academic departments, andto coordinate operations with the Office of Facility Management and Plant Operations, the Office ofSafety and Health and the Department of Public Safety.1996 – 2006 The University of ToledoI reported to the senior director and was responsible for the daily operation and supporting servicesfor the 285,000 sq ft Student Union and the Scott Park Student Center facilities. I had directresponsibility for planning and implementing capital improvements to these facilities, the dailyoperation of the physical plant and building service functions of the Bancroft Student Union and ScottPark Student Center, and management of all custodial services, maintenance services, buildingsecurity, student building management, student technical support crew, and student staff trainin
