Enthusiastic advocate of our history and heritage with 8 years’ management experience working internationally in major cultural institutions. A team builder with a creative mind and strategic focus, committed to making cultural education accessible to all ages and abilities through print, web, teaching and exhibitions. I am currently Director of Hay Castle, an exciting new centre for arts, literature and learning in Hay on Wye, which completed a major renovation project in 2022.Prior to this, I was Assistant Director of the British School at Rome, the UK’s largest overseas research institution, and a leading residential centre for visual arts and architecture. I have worked on research and heritage projects across the Mediterranean, including collaborating with Foster + Partners and the Occitanie Région of France on the inauguration of Narbo Via, a new museum in Narbonne that is part of a regeneration project for the region. I have published widely, and taught Art History and Heritage Management to postgraduate professionals in the UK and Italy.Areas of expertise include project management; researching and developing exhibitions; research management and public engagement; creative programming and special events management; partnership building and fundraising.
