I have been in the leisure and hospitality industry for over 20 years, most recently joining NICAS as Head of Commercial Partnerships. Previous to this I spent the past 13 years at Parthian Climbing, a national operator of climbing walls. During this time I have managed facilities, overseeing financial planning including creating annual forecasts for existing and new sites, written health and safety policies and procedures as well as overseeing stakeholders management. I have wealth of knowledge of strategic planning, planning and managing National marketing campaigns, project management and data analysis.In my previous role as Operations Director, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, marketing, staff retention and development for over 135 staff as well as now overseeing a national expansion. I was responsible for reopening 4 facilities after the COVID-19 pandemic where I worked closely with our National Governing body. I am a qualified climbing instructor and coach where I have coached thousands of adults and juniors including members of the junior GB Climbing Team. Although I no longer coach on a regular basis, I still have a passion for facilitating the next generation of climbers and now am using that passion on a national scale. I have previously sat on the board of the ABC, Association of Climbing Walls, sat on the safe guarding panel for the BMC, British Mountaineering Council, as well as well as worked closely with the ABCTT, Association of British Climbing Walls Training Trust on the under 18 National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme, NICAS. I love problem solving and as detailed above I have a wealth of experience in HR, risk assessment management as well as operation leadership and management skills.
