At Full Spectrum Solar, I was responsible for working with customers to educate them about solar systems, designing solar systems including load calculations, estimating solar production and energy production, and financial analysis to determine the payback period and IRR (internal rate of return). After working with the customer to approve contracts, I submitted all city permits, ordered materials and scheduled the installation crews for the project. After construction began, I was responsible for site visits, working with the city building inspectors, and educating the customer on how to operate their system.At any given time I had 5-10 concurrent projects, in addition to meeting with potential customers. For commercial installations, I worked as part of the team to assist with site visits and planning equipment locations.Process improvement projects that I implemented included:(1) Reducing ordering mistakes and excess inventory by redesigning the inventory management system. The inventory system was revised to be more user friendly and used excel to sync the projects up with the existing inventory. Errors were easier to find and correct.(2) Automating the building and roof load calculation to remove all calculation errors and reduce time to complete complete permits by an hour per project.

Research under Professor Dane Morgan on a project for AO Smith. The scope of my work includes data analysis of steel compositions to find the greatest tensile strength. Utilize Python scripting language.

Responsible for explaining how to operate equipment safely to customers, answer their general “how to” questions, and suggest solutions to home repair projects. Jobs included equipment rental & maintenance, assembly of grills and riding mowers.
