As the superintendent for the Methow Valley School District, I provide district-wide leadership in support of a dedicated and talented administrative team and staff working in close collaboration with a highly engaged and supportive community. Together, our team is working together to ensure "Every Student Shines."

The United Schools Insurance Program, formed in 1985, currently serves over 150 school districts across the state of Washington by providing property and liability insurance. A partner to Clear Risk Solutions USIP also offers over 20 years of experience in pool administration, claims and litigation management, and risk management services.

As WASA's Region 171 President, I work with a dedicated team of educational leaders throughout the region to design and implement an action plan that align's with WASA’s goal to promote system-wide "Equity and Excellence for All."

As a member of Western Washington University's PEAB for Educational Administration, I support the continuous development of the Principal Preparation Program, Educational Leadership Program, and Superintendent's Certification Program.

I participated in the 2012 Chinese Bridge Delegation co-sponsored by the Hanban and College Board. The program was aimed at promoting the teaching of Chinese language and culture. Currently, we have one IB-PYP in operation at Wade King where students are learning Chinese and we hope to expand opportunities as we work toward the development of a Pre-K through 12 World Language program.

Served as a board member to the North Cascades Institute, an institution focused on the preservation of Northwest environments through education by facilitating fundraising efforts and promoting awareness of the educational programs offered by the institute. Currently all 14 elementary schools in the Bellingham Public Schools participate in their Mountain School program.

Served as a Special Education/Resource teacher for students in grades 2-5.Nominated for the Maryland State Teacher of the Year.Served on numerous building-level committees.Initiated a school-wide after-school intramural soccer program, resulting in the development of 150 participants.

Served as an assistant coach to head coach Shannon Higgins, former US National Team Captain.Provided tutorial services for student-athletes.

Served as the assistant coach to Kevin Quinn, head coach of Western Washington University's Men's and Women's Collegiate Soccer Program.
