As Events Manager at INREV I am responsible for the planning and execution of a variety of international events such as seminars, conferences, roundtables, and roadshows. I am part of the Events and Education team, tasked with developing and positioning events and training courses, supporting INREV’s value proposition in the real estate industry.My day to day activities include end-to-end project management and on site execution of all events, as well as strategic event calendar development tasks. Examples of these are planning, budget control, contract negotiations with vendors and venues, organizing catering, transportation, off site activities and AV equipment, preparing promotional materials and sponsorships, CRM system management and liaising with members, colleagues and other stakeholders at all levels of the organization to secure speakers and discuss speaking topics.I am also currently managing INREVs Young Professional network, aiming to develop and connect young talent in the real estate industry.INREV is the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles. We are the leading platform for this asset class, with the goal of continuously promoting the evolution of real estate investment across Europe and globally. We work with and for our members, together driving the non-listed industry forward. INREV has over 500 members. Our members include 75 of the largest institutional investors, as well as 40 of the 50 largest real estate fund managers.

In this role I was the primary liaison between the AmCham and its members, responsible for the development, budgeting and organization of all events of the Chamber at both strategic and operational level. My tasks included being a sparring partner and advisor to the Chamber’s Executive Director, its President and Board of Directors in branding, service development and new ways to market the Chamber. Profit and loss responsibility for all events of the Chamber, including all contract negotiations with hotels, car rental agencies, security companies, entertainment and miscellaneous event locations. Fostering good relationships with AmCham Members and finding new and innovating ways to work together. Representing the Chamber at public functions to create awareness of AmCham and to expand its network. And identifying potential member companies and enrolling them.

In this role I was local market lead, responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients, as well as prospecting new potential clients, especially in the corporate segment, MICE as well as transient. I was creating and maintaining our customer database. On top of this I managed all Social Media campaigns for the department, meaning the preparation and planning of posts, monitoring channels and KPIs and responding to customer feedback.

Resolving enquiries/ requests from clients, hotels and other sales colleagues. Taking responsibility for all administrative systems & procedures in the sales office, next to developing a social media strategy for the hotel, taking ownership of all channels. InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam is a Five-star Superior luxury hotel located on the banks of the beautiful Amstel river. The hotel first opened its doors to guests in 1867 and has been praised ever since for its regal presence and homely warmth.
