• Working worldwide and at short notice on Siemens 100,200,300 and 400 SGT range.• Attending site for Breakdown’s, Retro fitting packages and planned service work to handover the plant to the Customer in a satisfactory operating condition.• Re-commissioning of units post services • Taking a lead role on services, co-ordinating the work activities• Producing detailed reports on technical issues to liaise with technical staff for engineering solutions. • Fault finding and experience on mk2 and PCS7 control systems.• Liaising with the customer and attending site meetings to ensure customer demands are met.

Tasks included:• Laying down and levelling of the turbine underbase. • Fitting of all mechanical equipment on the gas turbine package. • Fitting of Core engine, Alternators and Compressors using different alignment techniques including dial test indicators with associated fixtures and laser alignment equipment. • Working alongside Electricians, Pipe Fitters and welders throughout the build of the turbine.• Working for the Combined Test Department who bring the gas turbine package together for a mechanical run test. Tasks included the lay down and levelling of the turbine package and fitting of all turbine ancillary equipment.
