As the Head of Information Technology, reporting to the CFO, I oversee all aspects of IT and cybersecurity at High Liner Foods. In partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, I contribute to shaping business strategies that drive our ambitious growth plans, including M&A activities. I collaborate closely with senior leaders across the organization to facilitate strategic discussions, ensure seamless information flow across initiatives and functions, and align outcomes with our overarching growth objectives.Additionally, I lead change management and communication efforts, ensuring employees understand and embrace our strategic initiatives, and how these efforts bring our company's purpose to life.

Reporting to the CEO, I am responsible for the deployment of our organization-wide strategy. In collaboration with senior leaders, I am developing, implementing, and enhancing programs and initiatives to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives. This includes translating our strategy into annual goals and objectives, integration into daily operations and measurement.

I am proud to lead a team focused on creating value across the business. It starts with the business architecture team that is tightly integrated into each line of business to understand the opportunities and challenges in process, systems and data. They work closely with our business partners to identify new initiatives that will move our business forward. From there, a delivery team is responsible for the architecture, design and implementation that delivers the expected business outcomes. Finally, an operations team ensures that all systems perform as required, internal customer service level expectations are met, our security posture is maintained and nurture the partnerships with key suppliers that make this all possible.Together, this team is on a journey that shows how powerful an IT team can be in achieving our company-wide strategic objectives. I led a team focused on IS (Information Services) strategy, architecture and innovation. Through strong partnership and collaboration with the business, we are focused on driving innovation in process, technology and data that enables the business strategy of High Liner. My team is comprised of roles in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management and Advanced Learning & Communications.

From 2010 to 2015, StarTech.com tripled its annual revenue to over 150M, tripled its employees to nearly 400 and grew internationally to serve 13 countries. With over 3000 products and a Hard-to-find made easy strategy, IT professionals from around the world depend on StarTech.com products and service as they support their own IT operations.As Vice President, Information Technology I was accountable for ensuring the IT strategy integrated into the company strategy and we delivered what was required to drive the growth of StarTech.com. I created and provided leadership for the core functions of IT including, Program Management, Business Analysis, Business Systems, Data Governance and Infrastructure and Operations.

I left InBev to seek out new challenges and had an opportunity to join the leadership team at Lambton College, where I graduated, to lead their IT department. During my tenure at Lambton, I:- Led a transformation of IT that resulted in a complete turnaround in IT performance and customer satisfaction levels throughout the College- Led a pragmatic implementation of ITIL; including key processes, service catalog, service level agreements- Implemented an IT performance dashboard, introducing transparency to IT service delivery- Led the development of several enterprise application improvements- Was a member of the College Board of Governors, elected by my peer group- Was responsible for all aspects of technology including enterprise applications, infrastructure and customer support (1500 PC’s, 5000+ internal / external customers)- Had budget responsibility of $3M CAD

In July of 2006, I returned to Canada as Director, ERP Implementation and IT Systems Integration to lead an SAP deployment for InBev USA. Within this role, I:- Successfully led the implementation of a new SAP platform (including FI, CO, MM, SD modules) in 5 months to support the InBev USA business (replacing a legacy Lawson system and related applications)- Recruited and led a team of 30 people including internal IT staff, business process experts and external consultants from a tier-1 integration partnerWhen the project was completed, I was given the opportunity to lead the North American Business Systems team where I:- Was accountable for all IT projects, application development and business analysis- Recruited and led a team of business analysts to support key business functions (supply chain, sales/marketing, HR, Finance, Business Intelligence)- Initiated several projects to support business development and continuous improvement- Led the development of IT strategic plans that integrated with the key business objectives- Implemented a Project Management Process Methodology to drive strong project initiation(business case analysis), governance, reporting, budget control- Had an annual budget responsibility of $13M CAD

Following the global role at InBev's Corporate office I pursued an opportunity to lead IT in the Central and Eastern European region. A key mandate was the successful implementation of the Global IT Efficiency program in the region which involved centralizing many IT services such as the IT service desk and managing the transition and transformation of an IT outsourcing program across all 9 countries.- Responsible for IT operations and projects in 9 countries throughout the region, including Russia & Ukraine. (5000 PC’s, 7500 IT users, 200 sites)- Implemented operational service level KPI’s to drive continuous improvement- Developed 3yr strategic plans aligned with business objectives- Led the implementation of the Global IT Efficiency Program within the region, outsourced 80 IT staff to IBM & British Telecom, built retained organization- Budget responsibility ($44M CAD)

Following Interbrew's acquisition of Labatt in 1995, a Corporate office was formed in Belgium in 2000 to drive the globalization of all Interbrew's holdings and launch an IPO. I was among a few selected globally to relocate and form a Corporate IT organization. Our mandate was to integrate and standardize the IT infrastructure within each of the 22 countries. While there, I:- Was responsible within a global program to define and implement key networking standards throughout 22 countries worldwide to improve InBev’s internal communications & information sharing- Led the procurement, design and implementation of a global network and related services to interconnect all InBev countries- Led the development of a strategy and project that achieved 25% savings in InBev’s global network and telecommunications environment ($41M CAD worldwide spend)

I began my career at Labatt in 1993 as an IT Network Analyst. I was responsible for building and maintaining the local and wide area networks and telephony systems across Canada. I successfully led many projects to upgrade infrastructure and took on a variety of roles which led to my promotion in 1997 to leading the IT Network and Telecom team.As the manager of the team, I was responsible for the overall Network and Telecom architecture across Canada that included 7 breweries, and more than 30 remote sales offices.
