About Tom Wambaugh

I'm a successful organization builder with over 25 years' experience in leading service, operations and sales, the majority in Senior Leadership roles. My greatest career achievements have been in the investment and development of others, helping people realize their potential and expand horizons further than they thought possible. Early work in retail banking taught me a lot about connecting members and customers with ideas, services and products that improve lives. My passion has always been to teach others to do the same, and to build organizations capable of carrying that passion forward. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed leading people, projects, departments and divisions; played an active role in developing and implementing company strategic vision and business plans; led teams through mergers and acquisitions; and helped companies grow and intentionally shrink through challenging economic times. I've experienced the pains and successes of core systems conversions; designed and launched successful products; continually enhanced the customer-journey and the member-journey; and developed training programs, initiatives and curricula. I've been a staunch company-culture advocate and defender, and internal/external compliance watchdog. I've represented my employers to federal and state authorities, and to the public at large; written policies and procedures; opened new retail outlets and overhauled existing ones. I'm an advocate for finding the best idea in the room, regardless of where it comes from. My leadership style is one of creating safe spaces to promote inclusion and competing viewpoints, consider various alternatives, and ultimately build consensus and enthusiasm for an exciting common vision. Integrity, Transparency, Mentorship, and Kindness are among my most cherished personal core values. I thrive in environments that enjoy critical thinking, challenging the status quo, data-driven decision-making, and creative problem solving.Though I've been blessed to call Nevada home for most of my life, I've also enjoyed working and speaking outside of the Silver State.
