I fulfilled my Industrial Placement year in the Suzhou manufacturing facility, predominantly as a costing accountant, however I also undertook more general roles within the finance department. My main responsibilities were; financial reporting; inventory monitoring, expense reports, manufacturing variance monitoring and reporting. Through this experience I was able to gain a detailed level of understanding of the SAP system and I was also able to become reasonably proficient in speaking Mandarin.
