Project engineer for all Fleet & Engineering on track plant.

I have been working alongside an Electrician undertaking all the jobs he gets that do not require electrical qualifications, assisting with cable laying and general machine maintenance, servicing machinery and undertaking machinery installs and machine moves ensuring all parts and equipment are delivered / collected on time, also contacting all wholesalers to ensure that we had the best price for all parts required, undertaking the project management side of the business creating plans and schedules for all works being undertaken.

Reporting to the area manager, following and reporting of all correspondence to all staff, Ensure all aspects of the health and safety policy are followed. My main role was to ensure that all products were displayed properly, this meant that I had to fully understand how all products worked, mainly the hydraulic items, from 10ton to 50ton presses, trolley jacks and engine cranes, I was responsible for assembly as well as fault finding.

General management duties in the absence of the manager. Dealing with all aspects of the retail business including periodic stock takes, monthly health and safety audits as well as daily management of all areas to do with personnel safety and customer safety. Leading by example with exceptional customer service face to face and also over the phone, offering the best advice possible, whilst always trying to maximize profits long term as well as short term.
