► Ensure any profits from the regeneration of Consett following the demise of Consett Steel Works benefit the residents of the local area. Member of the Finance and Grant Allocations sub-group.

► Managed strategic direction, operations and supply for a group turnover worth over £175m.► Led several transformational changes and grew the turnover of the company site from £41m to £47m, including sustaining productivity during the installation of LEAN manufacturing techniques, operational systems and energy saving initiatives totalling £600k in.

►As board director for Health & Safety, instilled proactive board initiatives to reduce incident levels by 50% and save £600K in insurance bonds.► Restructured the maintenance department resulting in a 50% improvement in production downtime and increased maintenance levels with an overall reduction to engineering spend.►Designed, planned and managed a £15m.

► Providing Project Management and Engineering expertise to International Cuisine.► Improved efficiency and capacity, setting up an additional extended shelf life processing facility for a major customer.

► Compiled a strategically aware business plan to raise funds and manage the development of a state-of-the-art 15,000 square foot manufacturing facility. ► Transitioning to operations director, drove the recruitment and training of staff and oversaw the initial operations of the facility, aligning it to the original strategic vision.

►Recovered and led an underperforming project by reviewing stakeholder expectations, setting a realistic budget and time frame and delivering a long-term strategy. Completed the project in eleven months, meeting product rollouts in the UK and expediting organisational goals. ►Supported the completion of a new purpose-built bakery, improving product.

I was recruited to complete the commissioning of a new production facility in Manchester. I was head of the Engineering dept of the facility which manufactured frozen reformed meal products and frozen ready meals.I resigned as an opportunity to return home and start International Cuisine became a reality.

I was initially employed as a Shift Engineer but was asked to set up the role of Production Engineer. A role I held for 3 years.My time at Findus Longbenton covered all aspects of Production and Services Engineering including acting as Deputy Electrical Engineer for the whole site.

Role included.Deployment and management of the electrical staff on shift.Trouble shooting electrical problems.Planning and organising electrical installations.Providing technical resourse to other functions.Ensuring installations and planned maintenance were conducted in accordance with the Mines & Quarries Act.
