- Managed the data teams within engineering - including Machine Learning (responsible for developing and deploying machine learning services into our products) and Data Science (responsible for strategic analysis and creation of team metrics).- Led the AI/ML team to deliver an ML Platform, and models on that platform. This was done in the setting of a highly regulated industry, which required a high level of transparency and the creation of standard practices.- Led the design and build of ML services which utilised Large Language Models in a robust and responsible way. - Established a quantitative measure of quality for listings on the strategically important Business to Consumer commerce platform. - This measure was used for the team’s OKRs, and I provided analyses to establish an ambitious but achievable goal against that metric.

- Led the delivery of a new, ambitious recommendations engine which serves scalable, personalised recommendations in real-time. The recommendations were a core part of the commerce experience on the PS5 at launch. I was responsible for leading the design, development, deployment and monitoring of the models. The delivery was for a cross functional team, and end to end delivery required collaboration with other product teams. - Established the vision for, then led the development of an MLOps framework. Used my expertise in building robust, well-monitored data pipelines and models in order to standardise the way that several teams created and deployed their models. - Set up and ran many A/B tests of the recommendations for my team. Responsible for the definition and delivery of data science products for Sony PlayStation.Designed, deployed and optimised customer-facing recommendations engines. This included developing a roadmap; managing the delivery of the recommendations; and working with external teams to implement the recommendations on various systems such as the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Now streaming service, email, and paid media. The recommendations included both collaborative filtering and content-based methods.Improved the consistency and quality of audience selection for marketing campaigns for all games. This was achieved through creating a programmatic way to build targeted audiences specific to each game. The automated audiences were successfully adopted by each of the marketing teams across the globe for email and paid media.Responsible for shaping and managing a backlog.
