I am an experienced environmental microbiologist specialising in the the tripartite interactions of arable crops, microbes, and soil swelling microbes. My main research focus is the use of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi as a biofertiliser as well as their implications towards soil sustainability and carbon sequestration. My broader experimental work allows me to develop novel LC-MS and HPLC analytical methodologies for rapid identification and quantification of a range of plant and microbial metabolic compounds. I am also currently involved in supervising MSc (Environmental management and Environmental Management for Agriculture courses) and MA (International Relations) students at the University of Hertfordshire.
