CurrentResponsible for all program oversight including human resources, finances, program creation, curriculum offerings, music, poetry, school partnerships, alumni cultivation, fundraising, teacher development, communications/media, and new program development.MAPS is focused on bringing students (grades 7 – 12) together from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and geographical backgrounds to write original poetry and music. MAPS works with groups of students from partnering schools in urban and rural settings across different states around two artistic disciplines culminating in a concert at one of the partnering schools. At this event the poems are read and the songs created from those poems are performed in front of a live audience on a professional stage.
