Cambia needed to modify existing IT applications to accommodate the new federal Affordable Care Act (ACA). Our team worked with others in the organization modifying internal processes for membership creation and cancellation, invoicing, membership cards, payment processing, client letters, reporting and EDI transactions to process the ACA Exchange membership. My responsibilities were concentrated on creating user stories, defining requirements and generating design specifications for these modifications. Our development effort utilized DataStage, stored procedures, cannonical XSDs and several other file formats to pass the required data to internal and external business customers. I was also worked with external communications to subscriber membership that utilized DOC1 and Top Down software to generate letters. Participating as both Systems Analyst and QA Analyst.
