Based at the Philips Avent manufacturing site, reporting to the Site financial controller. Working in a cross-functional team managing expenditure, driving performance and initiating cost down opportunities for the Philips Avent Soothing value stream (Business Unit) with production value of £25million per year:• Controlling all expenditure within the value stream • Responsible for all budgeting and Rolling Forecasts in the value stream and using this to manage the Factory cost price of all Soothing products. This included further development beyond my specific role in owning and streamlining the full site forecasting process• Teaming up with the VS manager and lead Engineer to make key strategic decisions and investments within the value stream• Development and reporting of metrics to drive daily, monthly and annual improvement in performance including value stream efficiency• Development & preparation of reporting packs for monthly financial review meetings with value stream ‘management team’. This covered past performance, opportunities and financial coaching to non-finance members of the team• Use of Lean techniques for problem solving and improvement initiatives by eliminating waste in both finance and value stream processes• Applying and driving the Cost Deployment technique across the value stream and site. This enabled me to identify opportunity and waste and hence to reduce cost in processes on a year on year basis.
