I am a sixth-year graduate student researching the relationship between media habits and cognitive functioning. My primary focus has been to explore neuropsychological questions with translational health implications. After graduating with a B.S. in psychology from UMass Amherst, I worked as a research assistant at the Boston VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA for three years. During my time at the VA, I published three manuscripts on topics of metabolic health, inflammation, brain injury, genetics, memory, sustained attention, executive functioning, and brain health. I also worked on a collaborative team to analyze data on mobility, cognition, and brain health, resulting in additional authorship. While in graduate school, I worked part-time as a clinical research fellow for Empatica, helping advance research on digital therapeutics for clinical application. I am also currently interning for U.S. DOT Volpe National Center working on research projects focusing on improving transportation safety. Following graduation, I hope to pursue a career as a research scientist in an industry or government setting.
