Tom is an action-driven youth interested in Natural Language Processing, Music, Applied Math, Algebra, and Entrepreneurship.He has an open heart to learn everything and aim himself to apply his knowledge to make a change.As a freshman, he challenge himself by taking JHU's NLP course, receiving the top 1 grades of the class on midterm and top 3 in final among junior, seniors and master students. In summer, he uses the knowledge and skills he learned in the class to build an LLM- and ML-powered social media to advocate for less polarization and misinformation, take the lead on understanding an open-sourced social media platform (mastodon) and modify it towards the new goal.He is the founder and CEO of MUNECK, a music game that helps people relax their necks, with a vision to raise people's awareness of neck protection. He also founded Global Smart City Institute, a platform that promotes youth-led projects and encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, which fosters far-sighted solutions toward SDGs.MUNECK and GSCI are actively looking for partners!
