Building Control Surveyor working for Spire Building Control Services ltd providing building control services in to a number of regular agents and contractors to projects in Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset and surrounding areas for domestic, education, health and commercial sectors.

Responsible for the approval, inspection and certification of the full range of project types submitted to the Authority with experience in schools, mixed use developments, commercial, assembly buildings and other residential developments.Working in and around the City of Salisbury has brought many challenges in the effective application of the regulations and their evolvement over time when working with buildings of historic interest and construction materials.Hold a portfolio of local agents signed up to work directly with myself under the umbrella of partnership working, taking advantage of the benefits this brings to the client regarding consistency in intrepretation and application of the regulations as well as continuing to secure market share.Managed the delivery of building control services, inspection and certification to the redevelopment of military garrisons across Salisbury Plain and Aldershot on Project Allenby Connaught undertaken by Aspire Defence.Attend numerous and varied dangerous structure incidents - recent ones heavily focused around the impacts that the recent flooding and storms have had on our historic cob construction.
